Dear Parents, On Wednesday, April 25th the 6th grade will take a field trip to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History located in Atlanta, GA. Our field trip will include visiting the Walk Through Time in Georgia exhibit and the WildWoods Forest that connect to our previous study of geology, and The Secret World Inside You exhibit and the Backyard Wilderness Giant Screen Movie as a preview of 7th grade life science. Students will leave for the museum at 9:00 a.m. and return at approximately 3:00 p.m. that afternoon. We will be traveling by commercial buses. Please make sure your student is at school by 8:45 a.m. to allow for a prompt departure. Students will be leaving for the field trip directly from the cafeteria and will not be going to their lockers first. On the day of the field trip, students should only bring the following items either held or in a small draw-string bag: The cost of the trip is $35.00 for each student. The cost includes entrance to the museum, the Giant Screen movie, and transportation. Please make checks payable to Autrey Mill Middle School. All students who wish to participate will be given opportunity to do so, regardless of receipt of payment. We feel that all sixth grade students will benefit from this unique educational trip; however, participation is not required and will in no way affect any student's instruction or evaluation. We do reserve the right to cancel this trip is sufficient money is not available to cover costs. Please contact Laurie Chans, ChansL@fultonschools.org, with any questions or concerns. Students may bring their own lunch or purchase a sack lunch from the cafeteria. No coolers or microwaves will be available. Students WILL NOT have an opportunity to purchase a lunch. Payment is due to the Autrey Mill front office no later than Wednesday, March 28th, 2018. Today's Date: April 26, 2024 |
