Further Details

An addendum to Guideline 1.2: Smart waivers can include videos provided by each vendor. It is the responsibility of the vendor to provide text closed-captioning to accompany their videos. There are no other audio portions of the smart waiver.

An addendum to Guideline 1.4: Color contrast on the waiver’s red error messages (for showing users where a user-error is on the waiver) passes standard testing for large text only and for UI components and graphical objects. The red error messages do not have a high enough contrast ratio for regular-sized text.

An addendum to Guideline 2.2: Kiosks using smart waivers are able to set inactivity timeouts ranging from 5 minutes to 60 minutes. This time range is at the discretion of the vendor. Signing the waiver in a setting other than in a kiosk is an option available to all vendors.

An addendum to Guideline 2.3: A one second animation will appear on the smart waiver when a drawn initial or signature is required. This animation can be turned off by choosing "Typed Signatures" in the account holder's Settings.
